After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County he moved to Tennessee to serve with AmeriCorps. Upon completing his service year he received the CAC AmeriCorps Member of the Year award. He then served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader in Maryland where he supported programs at higher education institutions across the Mid-Atlantic region. Afterward he attended the University of Baltimore and received a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship.

He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Baltimore.

Served with CAC AmeriCorps in Knoxville, TN focusing on recycling education and community outreach.

Served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader in Maryland where he supported programs at higher education institutions across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Worked in marketing for the largest animal welfare organization in the United States, as well as its international counterpart.
